"IDOL"

SYNOPSIS

BAYANI MAKAPILI is an ordinary brown chap who is a big fan of action movies, especially the ones starring HERO [BIDA], the #1 action hero in the land.

One fateful day, Bayani Makapili's life imitates that of his idol Hero, but with different results. Firstly, he is able to prevent a bank from being robbed, but instead of being hailed as a hero, he is thrown out by the police as a mere spectator. Then, his wife and son is massacred, but his revenge plan fails to the point that he is now being tortured by the gang of murderers. Until the real Hero arrives, fresh from the television.

Hero gets rid of the crooks and saves the day. Bayani Makapili volunteers to be Hero's sidekick, determined to leave the memory of his dead family behind.

We are then presented 5 & 1/2 different endings, depending on Hero's reply and its varying consequences --- from being catapulted to a topsy-turvy universe where the forces of good and evil are reversed, to a gathering of Villains, Hero's arch-enemies, that reaches the ultimate showdown of this action-comedy-musical meta-movie.
